2011 Renault Captur Review

At the Frankfurt Motor Show 2009, Renault unveiled its new brand identity, which puts people at the forefront of their concerns. The new design strategy and ambitious outcome of this struggle is based on the different stages of human life at every stage takes the form of a special concept car. The first, the two-seater coupe dezir expressed "love", the passion present at the start of any new venture. Renault Concept CAPTUR now turns to the second phase of the cycle, one of two people to explore the world around them.

Like its predecessor, defines Renault capture the style simple, sensual and warm, which will be gradually extended to the future design Renault car. "Capture is a crossover sport and fun, ideal for a young couple about to discover the world," says design director, Laurens van den Acker. "It takes as its starting point the language of design based on concept introduced DeZir, but adds a more technical - more functional, but still very sensual, "says Axel Breunig, director of concept cars.

CROSSOVER is all muscles MOTION

Its proportions and fluid curves, Capture the Concept Renault increases the movement and lightness, but the same products, strong and muscular off-road tires clues. Just as with DeZir, corners, edges and lines have given way to a sensual and natural form. Outside of the designer, Julio Lozano, the most important sources of inspiration were the athletes and sports radicals. "Capturing the design, I began to imagine a sprinter in the starting blocks, his muscles tense, and the energy unleashed when the starting gun is fired," he says. The design of the references to equipment such as helmets, gloves and other protective devices used for radical sports, high-tech sophistication and lightness.

Renault Capture adopt a new identity in the face, presented for the first time DeZir. How DeZir, this identity is in the midst of a logo can be placed directly Renault against the dark surface to emerge as clearly as possible. Significant unfinished blades enhance the visual design of the power. LED light effect on the relay directional wave signal, the entire car.

CAPTUR Renault does more than stir the emotions: it is also practical and versatile vehicle. It is equipped with a convertible hard top, once removed, reveals a carbon fiber frame. CAPTUR concept can transform from a coupe to convertible, a car from the city off-road, while their appeal is enhanced by the global sporting butterfly doors and large tires mounted on 22 inch rims black and white. With her body ended in a spicy orange tone, CAPTUR Renault is inspired by Red dezir defended. This color appears in a variety of different shades of the materials inside and outside the vehicle.

Interior completely immersed in the warmth and lightness

The orange theme was taken to the cabin, which also marked with fluorescent highlights a steady stream of light. "My main inspiration was the human body, sports, outdoor and urban style," says designer colors and finishes, Kana Watanabe. "I wanted to capture the heat and radiates vitality."

The interior of Renault capture is designed to be both welcoming and friendly to the occupants. The feeling of lightness in terms of the exterior is dominant here, with the front seats fixed to the center console, as if suspended in the air. The interior is simple and pure, without redundant equipment. Inventive and innovative materials were used, so the designers to play with the effects of light and optics. The center console, door frames and the dashboard is created using a transparent material, like a second skin. At the front of the cabin, including an overview of the high-tech, fiber, light in places that were used for most of the cab.

"The interior is designed around this tight network of elastic cords that remind the world of sailing and mountaineering, using graphics and light to keep time with the design and construction of the vehicle dynamic feel while at the same time a feeling of lightness in the cockpit, "says interior designer, Magali Gouraud-Borgers. The aluminum pedals, front bucket seats and carbon type reaffirm the wheel of a textured design sports leather gray, according to the original brief.

The vehicle is a multipurpose space where the bridge is lined with three layers of strings:

They are willing strained son in a way that allows components to be secured, providing a reconfigurable storage area;

They also offer the opportunity to relax thanks to the elasticity of the flexible structure. This is a completely new kind of comfort, to remind a new form of seating in a hammock.

Finally, it is possible to draw backs of the seats on the side of the car to provide two full-size rear seats with seat belts and head restraints. This will accommodate four passengers CAPTUR.

A filter is a very innovative performance and light fuel

Capture uses the energy concept Renault dCi 160 engine twin turbo concept, developed by the New Energy dCi 130th Downsizing is a key element of the strategy of Renault to meet its stated goal of being Europe's leading car manufacturer in terms of CO2 emissions. The range of electric vehicles will run in parallel with an internal combustion engine models that combine performance with reduced fuel consumption. Energy dCi 160 bi-turbo fits perfectly into this strategy. It produces 118kW (160hp) from a capacity of 1.6 liters - a specific power of 100 hp per liter. Maximum torque (380nm) is available from as low as 1750 rpm, providing a powerful acceleration at low revs, and the refined performance in all driving conditions. Mated to a dual clutch transmission, this powertrain EDC and promises really comfortable to ride with CO2 emissions of 99 grams per liter.

Renault will further improve the performance capture RX2 ®, a novel, which improves the grip at low speeds. If one of the drive wheels lose grip, this is a brand new mechanical limited-slip differential to transfer all or part of the engine torque on the wheel with more grip. Driving on slippery roads and tracks is therefore still smooth and effortless.

Capture the Concept Renault also the debut Vision System, an innovation that uses a forward-facing camera mounted on top of the windshield to give the driver assistance functions. This new technology is able to incorporate the synthetic images in real-time images of the road showing a display station, this is the principle of augmented reality, with the aim of improving the driver's view of the outside world into overlapping elements specifically designed . The system helps reduce the stress of driving, and a relaxed and relaxing ride.
