Scion announced that its 2012 premium micro-compact car iQ will start arriving in dealerships in October 2011. Scion iQ is only 10 feet long yet seats four people, making it the world's smallest four-seater.

"The iQ is the fourth member of the family, and will define the micro-premium sub-compact segment as the election of the new urbanites who want intelligent transportation without sacrificing style or new features.
Intelligent Design, do not sacrifice
Instead of sacrificing functionality or comfort to reduce the footprint, the iQ is based on intelligent design. Six of the design innovations are responsible for the ability of the iQ to be small in size but large capacity. Front differential compact, rack-mount high power control electronic control and a compact air conditioning units all have a significant reduction in the length of the front.
